the Ragdoll on Long Island Sound.
They sailed the route taken by Frank and Violletta
in the novel Wildcard.

New London Ledge Light House was built in 1909
and guards the entrrance to the Thames River where
Frank and Violletta sailed on their way to the Tident
Boat building complex at New London.

intercepted by the Coast Guard.

Sailing into the US Coast Guard station at New London,
Connecticut, Frank and Violletta passed by the USS
Eagle. The Eagle was a WWII war prize taken from the
Germans as part of their reparations and has ever since
been a Coast Guard training vessel.
